property Description

Tenure: Freehold

A bright and beautiful two double bedroom Victorian terrace with rear garden, nestled on a leafy street in Upper Walthamstow. Design and Decor is charmingly understated, and you have all the delights of our borough right at your fingertips.

There’s greenery all around here – Lloyd Park’s manicured gardens and babbling brooks are a mere six minute stroll and ideal for picnics, fitness goals or picking up something fresh from the Lloyd Park market. Head east and Epping Forest lies a sixteen minute walk or five minute cycle away. Endlessly explorable, you can walk for miles and miles.

IF YOU LIVED HERE

You’ll love the vintage detailing in your 140 square foot lounge. From that classic bay window to the ceiling rose overhead and cast iron fireplace, this room pays fitting tribute to the property’s original architecture. Next door’s your 120 square foot dining room where you’ll find wallpaper that nods to the designs of local legend William Morris. On-trend terracotta sits in a hearth, and with views out to the garden this is a fine hosting spot.

Next up your kitchen is elegantly attired in cream cabinets, timber worktops and an intricately detailed tile backsplash, while to the rear the bathroom is home to gleaming white metro tiles and a shower over the tub. The garden’s accessed from here; a particularly private mix of crazy paving, beds and a shed, all overseen by lush mature foliage. Back inside and head up the stairs for two immaculate 120 square foot bedrooms, both with lovely leafy views and built-in storage.

Outside and your new local has to be The Dog & Duck, just four minutes’ walk away. With a festive beer garden, a great line in sourdough pizzas and sublime Sundays roasts, this is bound to be a hit. Right outside this gourmet pub five bus routes speed you all across the capital, with the most convenient destination being Walthamstow Central station for fifteen minute runs into central London. From here we’d be remiss not to point you in the direction of Walthamstow Village. Head down St Mary Road to land in Dickensian back streets and on to Walthamstow’s historic High Street, Orford Road, full with gorgeous, independent establishments to sup and savour.

A WORD FROM THE OWNERS…..

“It’s a very short drive from Epping Forest while still being a stone’s throw from central London.

There are plenty of nice pubs in Walthamstow and a massive village feeling in Wood Street with a few nice restaurants, pubs and cafes. A particular shout out to Mini-Hiba, the best Middle Eastern I’ve eaten and the sweetest owners.

Overall, it’s an incredibly endearing place to live – we have absolutely loved it. Both the house and area feel incredibly homely.”
